Last year Hradecka Letecka Servisni s.r.o. company successfully finished a repair and reassembly of PA-46-500TP Meridian, which was individually imported to the Czech Republic after  his nose section had been damaged during NLG collapse after landing in Switzerland. To get transported the plane had to be disassebled by our technicians it into several parts first. Then, ancored into special fixtures, each part was transported on a truck to the Czech Republic, where a reassembly was performed. The reassembly, repair, all FAA and EASA procedures required for aircraft import, transfer to OK-REG and release took us 9 months only. Most of that time was spent by us wating for necessary spare parts delivery. The aircraft manufacturer has no similar case in his evidence, where Piper Meridian would be disassembled, and reassembled this way in Europe.
